"Maybe this one didn't hurt like McCovey's line drive to Richardson, Jose Oquendo or the pitch to Scott Spiezio, but Baker's blast was a crusher. Now came the bottom of the ninth, the shell-shocked fans once again revived, as the Giants came back to life with runners at first and third, one out.
With a pair of third strikes, Aaron Rowand and Fred Lewis waving horribly at pitches out of the strike zone, the boos came cascading down. The people filed out until there was nothing left but the seagulls and maintenance guys. In that silence, a sad story was told."

"Intuit, last decade’s leader in personal finance, just became the next decade’s leader in personal finance. Mint had their number, but they sold it for $170 million. A big payday for sure, and if that was their two-year goal then they nailed it, but I can’t believe that was the point behind Mint. It had too much potential."
