I saw two of my favorite artists – Glen Phillips and Grant Lee Phillips – last night at Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley last night. Both performances were great. They played a couple of songs together:

Radiohead at Outside Lands Festival
August 24th, 2008 ·
I finally got a chance to see Radiohead live at the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival on Friday. This was one of the best live shows that I’ve ever seen despite some audio problems.
Here are some video highlights. My camera was pretty shaky but the audio quality isn’t too bad.

…and here’s an Imeem playlist that I built containing all of the songs from their Outside Lands set in the order that they were played.

Sonos

One of my favorite gadget purchases of the past couple of years has been Sonos. It’s a great way to stream music throughout your house. The source of the music can be mp3’s, music subscription services such as Rhapsody, internet radio, even line-in sources such as an iPod. You can set up multiple “zones” in the house either playing different music or synched up to play the same music. One of the most requested features on the Sonos forums has been integration with Pandora. They added that a few weeks ago and it works great. Here’s an interview / demo with Sonos CEO John McFarlane from ScobleShow.
Here’s a photo of my Sonos controller running Pandora.

I saw The Police play at McAfee Coliseum (Oakland, CA) last night. The highlight of the show for me was ‘So Lonely’. Here’s a video of their performance of that song from last week’s Seattle show.

I’m pretty late discovering this band with the weird name. I heard about them on Twitter last week (yes, I know – yet another use for Twitter) and I’ve had the album in heavy rotation ever since. Here’s a track called “Quiet As A Mouse” from their 2006 album “The Dust of the Retreat“.
